GHOULISH GRAVEYARD CREATIONS ARE BROUGHT TO LIFE THIS HALLOWEEN AT THE CENTENARIAN LYRIC THEATRE

Posted in News on 01 Nov, 2013

Courtesy of the budding talent of Ealing, Hammersmith & West London College, bars are bedecked, awnings ornamented and tables trussed with black cats, cobwebs and jack-o-lanterns.

To be seen by over 10,000 patrons attending Thriller Live, the eerie installation is the culmination of a semester-long graded project for the young artists.

The venture is intended to simulate industry experience, and the process began with students given a brief and creating preliminary sketches. This lead to the space being photographed, liaising with the Lyric, right through to fire-safety compliance upon installation.

The unveiling of the work was scheduled ahead of Thriller Live’s creditable 2000th performance milestone, where a sell-out show including the likes of X Factor’s Rough Copy worked their way through the haunted-house-style lobby.

See the creativity of London’s students and catch it before the werewolves and critters skulk back into their lairs for another year.

Flying Music and the Thriller Live team wish the students all the best with their remaining time at WLC and their artistic endeavours. Perhaps one day they will resurrect as spellbinding set designers at our 3000th performance and beyond…
