Carole Todd – Director/Choreographer

(Duchess), Girl’s Night Out (Victoria Palace), Elvis the Musical (Astoria, Prince of Wales and Piccadilly), Return to the Forbidden Planet (Cambridge), Ferry ‘Cross the Mersey (Lyric), Lily Savage in Snow White (Victoria Palace), Tribute to the Blues Brothers (Whitehall), Jack to a King (Ambassadors), The Pocket Dream (Albery), James and the Giant Peach (Sadler’s Wells), The ivals (Boulevard), Wild Oats (National), La Cenerentola (Royal Opera House). Various Gilbert and Sullivan operas (Sadler’s Wells and Savoy) and, as Resident Director, Hello, Dolly! Worldwide includes: Jesus Christ Superstar in Germany, The Mikado in Brisbane, Sydney and LA, Elvis the Musical in Vancouver and Sydney, Starlight Express in Japan and Australia, Tribute to Glee and Santa in Dubai plus countless trade shows from Iceland to the Bahamas, every pantomime subject including Aladdin in Tel Aviv- in Hebrew and many musicals directed on Cruise Ships from Norway to Western Samoa.

She has directed/choreographed varied straight productions in UK, ranging from Peter Terson’s Strippers to Agatha Christie’s only comedy, Afternoon at the Seaside, and has worked on many Kenwright productions,including Dreamboats and Miniskirts, Can’t Smile Without You - the UK tour based on Barry Manilow’s music and Laughter in the Rain with the music of Neil Sedaka and has been with the Dreamboats and Petticoats creative team from the start both on the UK tours and at the Savoy, the Playhouse and now Wyndham’s, all in London’s West End.

Television/film work includes: Stravinsky’s Renard the Fox, Lenny Beige, Morecambe and Wise and Prick Up Your Ears.

Dancing in the Streets, the Motown revue, is another favourite and Carole has been happy to be part of the several tours and three West End runs so far! She also writes and devises compilation shows and acts for various artistes ,lives in central Brighton and is a dog walker for Shoreham Dogs Trust – when she gets the chance





Julian Cannonier

Born in Yorkshire, Julian trained from the age of 5 at the Audrey Spencer School of Dance.

Julian first appeared in London’s West End, as ‘Cagey Joe’ in the Original Production of Bugsy Malone. Other West End Credits include Sir Trevor Nunn’s production of Porgy and Bess at the Savoy Theatre, 125th Street, Annie Get Your Gun, A Tribute to Sammy Davis JNR, Starlight Express, Five Guys Named Moe, Two Seasons with Miss Saigon and Dancing in the Streets as well as Sister act with Whoopi Goldberg.

Julian is delighted to have his feet back on shore for this production of Dancing In the Street as he can often be seen as Lead Vocalist on World Class Ships such as the QE2 and Queen Mary. He also appears regularly around the world with The Emperors of Soul.

Other credits include the Feature Films The Muppets – Most Wanted, Scintilla, Dorian Gray & De-Lovely with Kevin Kline. Video credits include Uptight for C.J. Lewis & Five Guys Named Moe for Cameron Mackintosh.

Julian also has worked extensively in productions across the world appearing as Poppa in Far East Tour of Starlight Express, Scar in The Legend of the Lion King for Disney and in Miss Saigon in Sydney, Singapore and Hongkong. Lengthy tours with shows such as Annie Get Your Gun, Once In A Lifetime, The Official Tribute to the Blues Brothers, Tapping Harlem (In which he created the leading role of Young Avo) The Magic of Musicals, Oh What a Night!, Five Guys Named Moe and Viva O Carnival.



Emma Jones

Emma Louise Jones

Emma graduated from the Urdang Academy in 2015. During her time there, she performed in shows such as ‘Move It “Love to Be Free” and ‘Move It “Bloch Fashion Fix”.

After graduating she performed in 'Carnival Legend' on a Carnival Cruise Line.

Her other credits include Strictly Come Dancing, His Mother’s Son (ITV) and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.







Newtion Matthews

Trained at W.A.C.P.A

Newtion grew up in a musical household and honed his craft as a vocalist in the church.

Having diversified from this, he began his career as a dancer, but has always returned to his first love of musical theatre and singing.

Having competed as a finalist on both The X Factor UK and The Voice, Newtion was signed to Warner Music and toured throughout The UK and Europe. He is extremely pleased to be part of The Dancing In The Streets cast.

Joeseph Noble

Joseph Noble

Joseph's extensive career has included the following roles: Puck in Shakespeare's A Midsummer Night's Dream; the Ghost of Christmas Present in Charles Dickens A Christmas Carol ( both for the Liverpool Playhouse) and Little Moe in Five Guys Named Moe (London/Australia). He has also performed in Miss Saigon, Crazy For You, Kiss of the Spiderwoman, and as one the original cast of Mamma Mia! in London's West End. He has appeared in national tours of The Mystery Plays (playing Jesus), and soul show Soul Train, working with Sheila Ferguson of the soul diva group The Three Degrees.

In 2002 he toured the UK with hit show Riverdance as the baritone soloist ('Heal Their Hearts'), continuing with the show to the US, China, Japan and Malaysia. Joseph was extremely privileged to sing at the first ever invited western show (Riverdance) to be allowed to appear at the Great Hall of The People in Beijing, China. A Sky 3 documentary named Riverdance In China (available on YouTube) followed.

He has also played Maugrim in the Sadler's Wells version of The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe for the Royal Shakespeare Company; Jimmy in Grand Hotel (Donmar Warehouse, London) where he worked with Hollywood actress Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio.

In June 2006 Joseph worked with US director Francesca Zambello appearing in Show Boat at the Royal Albert Hall, London (the first fully staged musical to be performed there). He then spent several years in the USA, Asia and Europe singing featured roles for Royal Caribbean International and Princess Cruises. While living in Miami he also coached young kids.

In May 2000 he represented the UK in the Eurovision Song Contest for the BBC (Stockholm, Sweden), singing for Nicki French in front of millions worldwide. He then went on to choreograph and appear in her re-released hit video Total Eclipse of the Heart in 2006. Joseph also appeared on TV singing in London Community Gospel Choir, working with Heather Small, Jackie Graham and Jamie Cullum.

Recordings include: West Side Story (Leicester Haymarket Cast 1992), Mamma Mia! (original London cast) and his own solo vocal project with material by Prince and Steve Arrington. While in the US he wrote and sang on the album Ven Conmigo (available on Itunes), collaborating with producer Gil Martin


Joseph is also a Zumba® qualified instructor, has a professional Certificate of Merit in Body Language (British School of Yoga), and is known to give excellent Tarot Card readings!

Other projects: Celebrity backing vocalist, music videos, recording artist, short films, vocal/acting coach/judge. Scarlet is currently a lead singer in one of London’s top choirs (CK Gospel Choir). Scarlet also runs her own business (ScarletWorkshops.org) which provides transformational life-skills workshops to young people from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Wayne Withers headshot

Wayne Withers

A native of Philadelphia, Wayne began his musical journey at a very young age. Reared in church, his gift was cultivated and has afforded him the opportunity to sing with Yolanda Adams, Dorinda Clark Cole and other great gospel artists. He received classical vocal training under the tutelage Dr David King.

Wayne has travelled around the world singing, visiting countries such as Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Indonesia, and now the UK. He also works as a soloist and teaches music in churches.

Theatre has always been an integral part of Wayne’s music experience in which he has played principle, supporting and feature roles in productions including Jesus Christ Superstar and a gospel production of The Wiz called The Gate Called Straight, directed by Stephanie Mills as well as numerous stage plays.

Wayne’s heartfelt approach to music, a vital part of his life has led him to many venues to share its light. He lifts his voice to convey the passion, pain, joy, love and happiness expressed in song. “God is the centre of my life” is Wayne’s sentiment.

Richard Couglan – Bass

Following his studies, Richard worked at the Royal National Theatre for the on-stage band in 'One Man Two Guvnors'. This was followed by three years in the West End at the Adelphi and Haymarket theatres.

Since then Richard has been working as a busy freelancer, depping on theatre shows such as Jersey Boys and working as a studio musician.

Justin Shaw is a London Based Musician/Drummer.

In 2012 Justin graduated from the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance with a BMUS (HONS) Degree in Popular Music Performance and a Higher Diploma in Drums and Percussion.
