Wayne Anthony-Cole

Wayne has a dance background & trained in Classical Ballet and Contemporary Jazz for a total of five years, first at Barking College of Technology for 2 years, then at London Studio Centre for 3.

Since then Wayne has worked mainly in musical theatre. In Starlight Express (Victoria Apollo) as Purse & understudy to the lead roles of Rusty, Poppa & Electra, Buddy (Victoria Palace) as the Apollo performer & band musician and The Who's Tommy in Offenbach Germany & UK Tour.

After this period, "life in general" (as he puts it) meant Wayne had to step back from the stage for a while. Now he is thrilled to make his return to performing with Sweet Soul Music.

Wayne is also a multi instrumentalist, playing Drums, Percussion, Guitar, Bass and Piano. Songwriting is a major passion and he has a recording studio at home. He has an avid love of technology and more computers than anyone should have. His latest interest is in film making.

Wayne would like to dedicate all performances to his girlfriend Samantha for her love, support and strength. Also to the memory of his mother Utilla RIP xx

 

Courtney Buchanan

Courtney Buchanan has been involved with many major artists throughout his career.

His credits include: Paul McCartney’s video No More Lonely Nights Reprise. Supporting artist on R. Kelly UK tour

Worked with the dream team, Carl McIntosh of Loose Ends, and Richie Benson of Rose Royce.

Appeared in a K.F.C advertising campaign, Amen Corner and White Folk.

Donna Hines

Donna has recently graduated from the London School of Musical Theatre. Theatre while
training includes: Les Miserables; Merrily We Roll Along; the Cheshire Cat
in Alice in Wonderlandand Nicole in When Midnight Strikes.

Donna is delighted to be making her professional debut in Dancing in the Streets.

 

Philip Kavuma

Philip Kavuma was born on the 3rd October 1983, in Middlesex, North London. He grew up in North London with a family of nine brothers and sisters. He attended Nower Hill high school and in the final years of his secondary education took up a passion for singing, acting, dancing and writing. After finishing high school, Philip pursued his performing arts education which led to a BA Honours.

Whilst studying, Philip also took up street dance as a hobby and entered numerous amounts of dance competitions which led him into joining a dance group.

During these fine years of studying Philip also pursued a career as a singer as part of the band Unyson, which led him into touring shows across the country, with the booking agency Mission Control. During this time he also had a song on a number selling album called Urban Fusion.

Philip’s style is mainly R&B and loves to listen and write all genres of music. His biggest influences came out of the Motown era and has also been inspired by artists such as Elton John, Michael Jackson, Boys II Men, Frank Sinatra and many more.

Currently, Philip continues working on his writing skills and is still a member of Unyson who are currently recording an album.

 

Duane Lamonte O’Garro

Duane Lamonte has been a valued member of the Young Actor’s Theatre (formerly Anna Scher Theatre) and YAT Management since 1991. He made his West End debut in Daddy Cool where he played the role of Gdog and ensemble, and understudied the role of Sonny. He continued these roles in the national tour.

Duane Lamonte’s television credits include; Blast (BBC), Anything’s Possible (Ch 5) and Grange Hill (BBC). His theatre credits include Our Day Out (Andy Smith Productions, USA) and The Twits (Sadler’s Wells). He is also a keen vocalist and is the director of entertainment company, ‘Ivy Entertainment’. He has supported Blue with their Greatest Hits Concert and he sang in the 291 Variety Show at The Hackney Empire.

Duane is thrilled to be a part of Dancing In the Streets.

 

Hope Lyndsey Plumb

Hope trained as a singer and musician at Exeter University and graduated gaining her BA (hons) in Music. Since then she has been part of signed girlband Blushuk, and most recently she sang at the wedding of England football captain John Terry and at Geri Halliwell’s daughter’s christening.

Hope has sung at high profile events at the Royal Albert Hall London, St David’s Hall Cardiff, Bridgewater Hall Manchester and Symphony Hall Birmingham with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra. In addition Hope has had extensive work doing back up and session singing for many record companies, studios and singers including Will Young.

Her theatre credits include Pharisee (tour), Crazy For You (Northcott Theatre), Thriller Live (tour) and she appeared on TV as the Narrator in Help! It’s Christmas (ITV1 Christmas Day 2005)

Hope is excited to be joining the cast of Dancing In The Streets and would like to thank her husband, Dave and the rest of her family and friends for their love and support.

 

Noel Mascoll

Singing from an early age, Noel, wanting to expand his skills studied Performing Arts at Hammersmith and West London College. He trained in Dance, Drama and Singing and also attended WAC, a weekend arts college in Hampstead, where he focused on singing and various live shows.

Throughout his career as a performer, Noel has done several music videos and backing vocals for artists such as Westlife and TV extra work on shows such as The Bill on ITV, and even enjoyed time in the Fame Academy house.

He draws influence from the soul and Motown era listing Marvin Gaye as one of his idols, and draws upon this as a vocalist. With previous writing and recording experience, he is now focused on other artists and being around music and dance in all forms.

Noel aims to live his emotions through music and singing and to tap into the true voice of the artist that he tributes.

 

Asya O’Flaherty

Landi Oshinowo

Born in London to Nigerian parents, Landi was first inspired to be a singer at the tender age of seven after seeing ABBA on TV.

As a schoolgirl she managed to secure a place in the school choir by standing outside the music room singing at the top of her lungs.

She has played some wonderful roles in musicals from Oliver! to Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat and in plays from A Midsummer Night's Dream to A Streetcar Named Desire. She also appeared as Tina Temptation in the highly successful Phantom of the P'Opera at Lincoln’s Theatre Royal as well as touring with Alvin Stardust in the Christmas show Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree, and as the Acid Queen in The Who’s Tommy.

Landi performed the roles of Nala and Rafiki in The Legend of the Lion King at Disneyland Paris. Most recently she toured with Sweet Soul Music and is delighted to be part of this tour of Dancing In the Streets.
